Electronics and Communication Engineering at Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Engineering and Technology, Noida. Electronics engineering is a constantly changing and widening branch of the engineering profession having applications in every discipline of engineering including consumer electronics, telecommunications, diagnostics and treatment devices for medicine, audio and video, control, computing, data storage and retrieval, photography, measurement and metrology equipment, aviation and avionics and early warning & radar systems. Our department has a fine blend of a team of qualified and experienced faculty and staff members.
We are striving hard continuously to improve upon the quality of education and to maintain its position of leadership in engineering and technology. The Department is equipped with state of art Laboratories. The lab facilities are being upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for the students to learn and innovate.
All of the top achievers I know are life-long learners and look for new skills, insights and ideas. I am certain that our students will prove to be an invaluable asset to an organization.
My motto is “Develop a passion for learning”.



Electronics and Communication engineering department aims to provide valuable education to produce creative technocrats those who can address the challenges of industry and inculcate in them a sense of discipline which will help them to excel in their professional and personal life.


To achieve the vision the department will

1. Establish a unique learning environment to enable students to face the challenges of Electronics & Communication field.

2. Introduce students to new technologies on time to time basis to reduce industry academia gap.

3. Nurture spirit of innovation and creativity among the faculty and students.


The department started in the year 2000 with an intake of 120 students in a 4 year B.Tech. course, is one of the major departments of the institute. Since its inception, the department has shown exponential growth in terms of modernization of existing laboratories. A full time two year M. Tech program has been introduced from the year 2013. The department has motivated, committed, highly qualified and experienced faculty. The faculty members are encouraged to take independent initiatives in all the relevant Academic and R & D.

Electronics and Communication Engineering is a branch of Engineering that deals with hardware such as Electronic devices, Circuits, Communication equipments, Antenna and Wave propagation. It also deals equally well with software’s like MULTISIM, ORCAD, PSPICE, AVR, MATLAB, ANDROID DEVELOPMENT TOOLS, PHYTHON, SCI LAB. Knowledge based training on Assembly Language Programming of microprocessors and controllers to design, analyze and simulate the performance of systems is provided along with the curriculum.
The educational objectives of the course are:

  • To deepen the knowledge and skills of the students on basic concepts and theories that will equip them well in their professional work

  • To make students understand the basic concepts, so that they can excel in industry/technical profession and postgraduate programs

  • To build enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment among students

  • To familiarize students with the system approach to handle multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary projects to accomplish professional development

  • To encourage students to participate in seminars, conferences, workshops and entrepreneurship programs to widen the horizon of their knowledge

  • To hone leadership qualities, effective teamwork spirit among students

  • To imbibe the habit of being receptive to new technological and cultural challenges

  • To establish Industry-Institute Interaction for the timely updates on the latest technologies, techniques and softwares used in industries.

1 MATLAB ,Simulink MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and proprietary programming language developed by MathWorks. MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, Fortran and Python
2 Multisim Multisim is industry standard SPICE simulation and circuit design software for analog, digital, and power electronics in education and research
3 Xilinx Xilinx ISE[2] (Integrated Synthesis Environment)[3] is a software tool produced by Xilinx for synthesis and analysis of HDL designs, enabling the developer to synthesize ("compile") their designs, perform timing analysis, examine RTL diagrams, simulate a design's reaction to different stimuli, and configure the target device with the programmer
4 Pspice It is a general purpose analog circuit simulator that is used to verify circuit designs and to predict the circuit behavior

Electronics & Communication Department has organized in house summer training in the campus itself for the students on the latest technologies.

Objective of Summer Training

  • To provide comprehensive learning platform to students where they can enhance their employ ability skills and become job ready along with real corporate exposure.

  • To enhance students’ knowledge in one particular technology.

  • To Increase self-confidence of students and helps in finding their own proficiency
