The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the MGMCoET, Noida was formed in 2000. The department provides research environment complemented by excellence in teaching. It is equipped with the state of the art computing facilities and experienced staff members and is known for its academic excellence proved by its performances since its inception.

The department offers B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 120 and M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 24.

DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the MGMCoET, Noida was formed in 2000. The department provides research environment complemented by excellence in teaching. It is equipped with the state of the art computing facilities and experienced staff members and is known for its academic excellence proved by its performances since its inception.

The department offers B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 120 and M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 24.

The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all aspects of computer hardware and software with an emphasis on practical learning. The department has state of the art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed Ethernet and wireless networks. The department has tie up with quite a few IT Companies and students are encouraged for technical interactions with industry. Such interactions are of immense important not only in maintaining the vitality of our programs, but also in continuing the up-gradation of our resources in classrooms and laboratories. The department prides itself on good career opportunities for students. Department is not only provide placement but educate students so, students can get job in corporate environment without any additional support. The students of this department graduate with about 60% employment through campus placement. CSE department has initiated certain steps for path breaking and innovative research in various spheres. This research is being facilitated by support of the faculty, through published books, articles and research papers on various topics.

Computer Science & Engineering department has six Computer Labs equipped with IBM/HCL desktop computers with latest configuration. The labs are equipped with 50 MBPS (1:1) leased line to provide free internet access to the students. The Department has MoU with IIT Bombay for Distance Education Program, Oracle Corporation, USA for WDP Program and Microsoft, USA for Academic alliance. Students of department may join courses on latest technologies under Oracle/Microsoft.

The department is a member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).


CLASS ROOMS

All class rooms are well-ventilated, specious, equipped with projector and multimedia system.



Department of Computer Science & Engineering have state of the art laboratories with LCD and Smart Board to educate students with a realistic environment. To provide internet facility, computer center is equipped with 64 desktop computers. All desktop have 18 inch TFT Monitors. For uninterrupted power supply, department is equipped with 100 KVA UPS. All labs have one dedicated printer for students to take printout for laboratory report.

All Computer Labs are equipped with 25 desktop computers. Each system is installed with Dual Operating System, Windows 7 and Linux. The labs enable users to perform General Computing Tasks, such as word processing and Internet surfing as well as more advanced computing required for course work and research. All labs have common software like Turbo C++, JAVA, Lisp, Acrobat Reader installed on each system. This is in accordance with university curriculum.

Web Technology Lab:

This lab is used for designing and Development of Thread-safe Servlets, managing the sessions in web applications, understanding the Java Server Pages (JSP) Technology Model, authenticating the web clients and interacting with databases with Servlets and JSPs. It is used to study the critical elements of XML and Learning the concepts of tag libraries, custom tags and JSTL & can create real time GUI applications using C# .net, ADO.net etc.

Computer Network Lab:

Computer network lab is used to study the implementation of state-of-the-art in network protocols, architectures, and applications. It is used to understand basic concepts of Data or computer communication and basic connecting devices, such as Ethernet, Modems, Cables or other transmission Medias. Students can understand the working of different network devices and simulate different network protocols, topologies and architecture with Advance tools and technologies. This lab is used to perform practical of different subjects like Data Communication, Computer Network, and Advance Computer Network. JAVA & NS-2 is installed on each system.

Hardware:

HCL, P-IV, 3.6 GHZ Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80GB Hard Disk.

Advance Programming & Operating System Lab:

This lab is used to study and implement the concepts of operating systems in detail. Along with the issues in operating systems such as resource management, process scheduling and management, operating system design issues.

DBMS Lab:

This lab is used to study various concepts of database design generation of database schemas. Student can understand and implement the relational model, SQL, indexing and query processing and can deal with issues of relational database design. To understand the processes of data mining student can use different data mining tools. This lab is used to perform practical of subjects like database management, advance database management, data mining and data warehouse using Oracle 11g.

Research and Development Lab:

A Complete and functionally established R & D Lab is established with specific software like Visual Studio, Oracle 11g, SQL server, Dreamweaver, ASP. net to cater to the R & D needs of students. This lab is also equipped with Smart Interactive White Board which helps the teachers to have Interactive Session with Students during Project Presentation, Demos.

Computer Centre:

Computer Centre is equipped with 64 computers of HCL/IBM. Students can use internet for their academic & extra activities.

To fulfill the gap between University Curriculum and Industry requirement MGMCoET, Noida Collaborated with Oracle University & Microsoft Academic Alliance. With these collaboration courses of latest technologies is executed in campus for MGMCoET, Noida students.




MGMCoET, Noida is Oracle India Private Limited’s education partner for conducting Oracle Workforce Development Program (WDP). We conduct WDP courses using Oracle software, curriculum and course- and developed by Oracle ware - designed University.
To address the growing shortage of skilled employees in global information technology and challenge of increasingly competitive work environment, Department of Computer Science and Engineering is providing authorized training on Oracle Technologies.

Oracle WDP partnership is an opportunity for MGMCoET, Noida students to have in-house Oracle training at low cost. WDP training prepares students for Oracle Certification Exam. With the widely-acclaimed credential of Oracle certification, WDP students are readied for a variety of entry-level Oracle job-roles as well as career advancement.
Currently, the department is providing training on the following modules:
Module 1: Oracle Database 11g: Introduction to SQL 2.0 (40 hrs)
Module 2: Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop I 2.0 (40 hrs)

  • Students under WDP get easy access to official curriculum developed by oracle, keeping in mind the international certification.

  • Students get course completion certificate and 25% fee benefit on international certification. Under this Oracle provided 100 original user licenses to MGMCoET, Noida so that students can learn the technology on real time environment from Oracle.

  • Each student gets individual e-Kit which is easy to access and carry in platforms like laptops or mobile phones.

  • Students under this program also get to attend sessions from industry experts who run them through various trends and importance of international certification in their career growth.



MGMCoET, Noida is making constant efforts towards the growth and development of students as future technocrats, by providing ample opportunities for industry interactions to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements. In persistence with this pursuit, MGMCoET, Noida started the Microsoft IT Academy (MSITA) at its campus in July 2013 under the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The college is an authorized Microsoft IT Academy Program Member.
The courses under MSITA are designed by Microsoft and are delivered by ‘Microsoft Trained Trainers’ through Microsoft Delivery Partners. The enrolled students are exposed to the latest Microsoft Technologies that enable them to be market ready thereby increasing their placement opportunities manifolds.
The courses consisting of two levels of 50 hours each are focused on training the students on Microsoft leading technologies. Besides theory and lab sessions, each level comprises of project work based on Microsoft technologies.
On completion of the level(s), the students are awarded participation certificates. The students can subsequently appear for Microsoft Global Certifications.

  • Parallel star join + data indexes: Efficient query processing in data warehouses and OLAP

  • Design and Implementation of an OS in an organization

  • Analysis and effectiveness of writing speech using fuzzy

  • Detection & analysis of chromosomal abnormalities

  • Alternative medical system
