Broadly a Civil Engineer is expected to do the planning, research, design, and construction of buildings and roads; traffic and transportation, irrigation and power, water supply and sewage disposal, dam and reservoirs, ports and harbors, airways and navigation, treatment of industrial wastes and abatement of air pollution and disaster mitigation. Sensus provides the platform to showcase and sharpen students' talents through various events and activities planned throughout the year.

Various Event Held:

NEEV: An annual presentation competition, NEEV is an inter-department activity wherein students explore their orator and presentation skills. This competition always provides students the platform to open themselves in front of others to showcase their verbal qualities with the technical presentation. An interactive question-answer session follows the presentation enhancing their confidence to do better in their professional growth.

TRI-TECH: The whole event mainly focused on the three skills of a student, perception, mental, and oratorship. Having three rounds, through this event, students get a grip on the three utmost essential aspects of a "true" professional personality.

CAD BUZZ: The very first INTER COLLEGE EVENT held by Sensus invited participants from over nine colleges. It was successful, with many groups participating in the "AUTOCAD" drafting competition. Students were given the plan of any functional building which they had to make the plan on a drawing sheet and then draft on 2D AutoCad followed by a quiz.

WORDPLAY: The whole event mainly focused on vocabulary to enhance students' linguistic skills. The students had a great time exploring their skills on the different rounds. The entire event was divided into three rounds. The first round was for recognizing the words, the second for forming sentences, and the last for verbal communication skills.

Sensus organizes many more events with proper anticipation of students and the support of the faculty and staff of the department. The group's innovative, planning and managing technical team always had their full hands-on, giving extra effort wherever and whenever required.
