Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Mahatma Gandhi Mission College of Engineering & Technology, Noida. The Department was established in 2008, offers Undergraduate program (B. Tech) Mechanical engineering.

The department has good infrastructure and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories such as CAD/CAM lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Refrigeration Lab, Engineering Mechanics lab, Thermodynamics Lab, etc.

The department is having well qualified and experienced faculty members. Faculty motivates and guides the students to do projects related to Advanced Technologies in Mechanical Engineering.

Emphasis is given on communication skills, creativity, leadership, and innovation to make our students capable of undertaking responsibilities. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs.

Department has established Students Society of Mechanical Engineering (INNOVENT) for giving scope for the hidden potentials existing amongst the students.

Program Objectives

1. The Mechanical engineering graduates will have adequate knowledge of science, mathematics and management field to suitably use it in practical life problem and analysis to arrive at right solutions/decisions.

2. The Mechanical engineering graduates will have sound and in-depth knowledge and skill of core mechanical fields viz. Thermal engineering, Machine Design, Manufacturing Technology, Thermal Sciences (Basics & Applied), CAD/CAM, hydraulics and mechanics, Strength of Materials and Materials Science in particular and other associated fields of mechanical engineering in general. The Mechanical engineering graduates will have successful professional careers.

3. The Mechanical engineering graduates will acquire additional advanced and updated knowledge through modified curriculum by making use of technological facilities available in the college.

4. The Mechanical engineering graduates will be capable of demonstrating their management skills as leaders/members of a team in engineering assignments.
